Advisory Council

The advisory function of the Association is assigned to the Advisory Council. It consists of the following members:

  • Immediate Past-President
  • Two previous Presidents
  • Immediate Past Chair of the House of Delegates
  • Chief elected officer of each Division

The Council has no executive authority and reports to the Executive Committee on all matters involving ethics and discipline referred to it.

It also reviews the overall organization of AAPG and its committee structure while undertaking any special projects assigned by the EC.

House of Delegates

All of the legislative function of the AAPG falls under the responsibility of the House of Delegates. It is made up of elected delegates as defined by the Association bylaws. Delegates are elected by popular vote and serve three year terms.

The HoD meets annually at the time of the AAPG Annual Convention and Exhibition when they elect their officers for the next fiscal year. Officers are the Chair, Chair-Elect and Secretary/Editor. Each is a one-year term that starts on July 1.

The Delegates' Voice is the quarterly newsletter of the HoD that is sent to all Members of the Association via email. It can be read online. Sign up now to subscribe to the Delegates' Voice.
